Peace of mind starts with knowing who is helping with your transition and move
Service Areas
Are you able to help our family move out of state and disperse their unwanted stuff?
Absolutely! While we mostly work with local clients, we also assist with planning and coordinating long-distance relocation to ensure a seamless transition.
Do you work with seniors exclusively or do you work with others too?
We’re honored to speak with anyone about their needs. Though we specialize in helping the aging population downsize, we often work with families, adult children, and professional partners like Real Estate agents and senior living communities throughout Denver, Boulder, and beyond. We just launched our Moving Through Divorce™ Plan and are honored to help those facing their transition.
What areas do you serve?
We work with folks around the entire Denver metro area, Boulder, Longmont, and Northern Colorado, providing downsizing, estate clean outs, and move management services. This includes Denver, Cherry Creek, Lakewood, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Greenwood Village, Golden, Evergreen, Conifer, Bailey, Pine, Arvada, Westminster, Commerce City, Reunion, Brighton, Thornton, Northglenn, Broomfield, Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, Niwot, Gunbarrel, Longmont, Frederick, Firestone, Johnstown, Mead, Loveland, Berthoud, Lyons, and beyond.
What We Do
My parents still live in my childhood home in Denver and it needs to be cleared out so we can sell it. Does Square One help with that?
We’d love to help! We offer respectful, environmentally conscious, estate clean out services in Denver, Boulder, and the surrounding areas. Our process includes sorting and packing up, dispersing to local donation centers, recycling, chemical disposal, and preparing the property to be sold.
Is there a difference between an estate liquidation and an estate cleanout? How do I know which one I’ll need?
Estate liquidation focuses on selling valuable items through in person or online auctions, while estate cleanouts involve sorting and dispersing unwanted items of the entire property. Square One serves those who want both services, so give us a call and let’s discuss your specific needs.
How much does a move management project cost?
Move management projects are highly individualized, so costs vary based on the services provided, the size of the project, and the volume of belongings involved. At Square One Move Organizers, projects typically range from $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the time needed for each phase of the process, including downsizing, organizing, and the dispersal of unwanted items. We will work with you to understand the full scope of your move and provide a clear estimate before any work begins. Check out our pricing page here.
Do you provide packing and unpacking services in the whole Denver metro area including Boulder?
Yes, we offer a full suite of move management services like packing and unpacking, including careful handling of valuables, bringing in vendors like a reputable crating company for fine art, meeting the needs for special cases, and getting settled into your new home by organizing for comfort and productivity so you can focus on what matters to you.
I’m moving out of state from Denver, do you provide moving trucks?
While we don’t operate our own trucks, we coordinate with vetted and trusted moving companies in Denver and Boulder. Our Certified Senior Move Managers® oversee the process to ensure everything runs smoothly. Please see below about the difference between a move manager and a mover.
Could you help my parents move into an assisted living or memory care community?
Absolutely, serving the holistic needs of the aging community is a big part of what we do. Our team specializes in independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing relocations across the Denver and Boulder areas, including space planning, identifying what they love and want to take with them, packing, move coordination, unpacking, organizing and getting settled in their new space with the bed made on the evening of the move.
Can you help someone downsize and move who has congnitive issues?
Yes. At Square One Move Organizers, we have experience working with individuals who have dementia symptoms and their families during one of the most emotionally complex transitions imaginable. We approach every project with patience, compassion, and sensitivity to the unique challenges that memory loss brings. From sorting and downsizing belongings to coordinating the move into a memory care community or a family member's home, we provide calm, steady guidance every step of the way. Families can trust that their loved one will be treated with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect throughout the entire process.
What is a Certified Senior Move Manager®?
A Certified Senior Move Manager® is an individual accredited by NASMM, the National Association of Senior Move Managers (nasmm.org) to help older adults and families with every stage of the moving transition. Square One Move Organizers is NASMM-certified.
What is the difference between a move manager and a moving company?
A move manager is a relocation specialist who guides you through every stage of the moving process, from downsizing and decluttering to unpacking and settling into your new home. Square One Move Organizers coordinates the logistics, oversees your movers, and provides the compassionate, hands-on support that a moving company simply does not. A moving company transports your belongings from point A to point B. A move manager makes sure everything surrounding that move is organized, thoughtful, and handled with care, so you never have to navigate one of life's biggest transitions alone.
How long does a senior move take?
The timeline for a senior move varies depending on the size of the home, the volume of belongings, and the services needed. At Square One Move Organizers, most projects unfold over several weeks, allowing ample time for thoughtful downsizing, sorting, and decision-making without feeling rushed. For seniors transitioning to a smaller home or senior living community, a typical project can range from three to eight weeks. However, we also understand that some moves require a faster turnaround, and we will work within your timeline to make sure every detail is handled with care.

What other organizations does Square One Move Organizers work with?
It’s important to us to give back to our community and we’re always looking for ways to give back. Because we believe that everyone deserves to move with dignity. Here are a couple of our favorites.
