Why Square One Move Organizers is Focusing on north Denver Metro and Boulder Areas
Hi everyone, and welcome back to the Square One Move Organizers blog. Today, I want to share an important update about how we’re shaping our service area, and more importantly, why this shift will allow us to care for our clients and our team better than ever.
After reviewing several years of data, listening to our team, and studying where our services truly make the biggest impact, we’ve made a strategic decision: Square One Move Organizers will be focusing more intentionally on the north Denver metro and Boulder regions.
Let me walk you through what led to that decision and what it means for the people we serve.
1. Travel Patterns That Affect Quality of Care
As our jobs have spread across the entire metro area, a clear trend has emerged. North metro jobs typically take 30 minutes of travel. Southmetro jobs can take over an hour each way.
That extra travel time might not seem huge, but for our team, it affects everything: energy levels, punctuality, and the ability to be fully present in our clients’ homes. By staying closer to our home base, we ensure that our packers and organizers arrive fresh, focused, and ready to give their best.
2. The North Side Is Where We’re Needed Most
Over 60% of our inquiries already come from the north Denver metro area—Denver, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Golden, Thornton, Westminster, Northglenn, Broomfield, Brighton, Boulder, Lafayette and surrounding communities. Senior transitions, family relocations, and downsizing needs are especially high in this region.
This isn’t just a preference, it’s a pattern. The need is here, the community is here, and our impact is strongest when we stay deeply rooted in the areas already reaching out to us.
3. Stronger Community Partnerships
On the north side, we’ve built an incredible network of referral partners including realtors, senior communities, care managers, and estate professionals. These partnerships thrive when we can attend meetings consistently, respond quickly, and show up when people need us.
Focusing our efforts helps us strengthen those relationships and build new ones, creating a tighter safety net for the families we’re all working so hard to support.
4. A Smaller Service Radius Helps Us Protect Our Team
The work we do is meaningful, but it can also be physically and emotionally intense. Long commutes cut into rest time, family time, and the mental capacity our team needs to provide compassionate support.
By reducing travel, we’re reducing burnout. We’re supporting a healthier pace of work. And we’re giving our team room to serve with heart instead of exhaustion.
A cared-for team is priority at Square One. We really are a caring team and that matters deeply to us.
5. Setting the Stage for Sustainable Growth
This isn’t a step backward. It’s the foundation for a stronger future.
Focusing on the north metro region allows us to refine our processes, train new team members more effectively, and build the kind of operational stability that supports long-term growth. When the time comes to expand our reach again, we’ll do it intentionally and from a place of strength, not strain.
Closing Message
At Square One Move Organizers, everything we do comes back to one core value: caring for people with dignity, clarity, and compassion.
By centering our work in the Longmont, Boulder, and north Denver metro area, we’re making sure that each client receives the quality of care they deserve and that our team remains supported, respected, and empowered to serve well.
If you have questions about our updated service area, or if you’d like help with an upcoming transition, we’re here for you. We have fellow NASMM members and partners in the south Denver areas like A Move Handled with Care, who will care for clients in the Aurora and south Denver Metro areas. Please let them know we sent you! :)
Thank you for trusting us, for referring us, and for being part of the community that makes this work so meaningful.
